Editorial team and methodology

How the IGAMING.PLACE editorial team collects data, writes and checks materials, what the “Checked by the editorial team” mark means and how to report an error.

Who we are

IGAMING.PLACE is made by an editorial team of analysts who work in the iGaming industry and know it from the inside: country markets, operators, game studios, platforms and affiliate programs. The materials are signed by the editorial team rather than by individuals: the publication answers for every page, and we do not publish the names of our staff.

We write for the people who make decisions in this business: which market to enter, whom to work with, what to expect from a particular company. We do not take bets, do not advertise casinos to players and do not give legal opinions — only conditions, figures and facts with sources.

How we collect data

Every figure on the site is measured or taken from a document, and each has a source and a date. The main sources:

All sources of a page are listed in its “Sources” section with numbers, the publisher and the date checked; the blocks carry footnotes to them.

  • official regulator registers and issued authorisations — operator lists, licences, jurisdictions;
  • national statistics: population, internet access, devices, languages — from statistical offices and telecom regulators;
  • mobile internet coverage — the open data of each country's telecom regulator;
  • search demand, competition and brand positions — measured over twelve finished months with one method for every country;
  • the companies' own sites, opened from the country in question: products, languages, currencies, bonuses and their terms, whole-page screenshots;
  • the official pages of affiliate programs, platforms, providers and regulators — every fact with a verbatim quote.

How we write and check

Texts are prepared from the collected facts and checked claim by claim: each is compared with its source, and whatever is not confirmed is removed. We use our own tools to collect and pre-process data; the conclusions, and the responsibility for them, are editorial.

We do not write about what is absent, we use no superlatives and we name no “best”. A place in our tops is computed from measured market figures and is not for sale; the editorial score lives apart from the place and is always explained.

What “Checked by the editorial team” means

The mark under a page's title means that the shown version of the material was assembled by this method and checked by the editorial team. Next to it is the version date — the day the page's data and texts were last checked. Only published materials carry the mark: casino reviews and their country versions, market reviews, affiliate programs, platforms, licences and providers.

Updates and corrections

Market and company data change, so pages are updated: every update changes the version date. If you find an error or outdated information, write to us through the form on the home page or in the project's Telegram channel — name the page and what exactly is wrong.

We check the report against the sources and fix the page; if the error was in the source data, we fix that too. Company representatives may send documents confirming a change — we take into account only what can be verified.
